Post-Doctoral Research Fellow (Basic Sciences) (3 positions) (PR0090/20-21)

The appointees will participate in a vigorous research programme, to conduct the high quality and innovative research to explore the mechanism of disease and whether and how the therapeutic remedies including Chinese herbal formula takes effects.

Requirements:

• a PhD degree in the biological and biomedical sciences or related disciplines;
• experience in using technologies such as bioinformatics, chemoinformatics, epigenomics, genomics, proteomics, metabolomics, single-cell omics, molecular imaging, gene editing for gut microbiome, etc;
• familiar with basic or translational study related to:

a. gut-microbiome and host interaction in human diseases;
b. phytochemical studies and drug discovery and development;
c. pathological or pharmacological study about gut microbiome and its metabolites with gut motility, sensitivity and barrier dysfunction, and regulation about gut-brain axis;

• a strong track record in external grant and outstanding publication.

Initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
