Australia has an exciting opportunity for an experience and diligent Portfolio Consulting Professional – Sales Channel Specialist within Siemens’ Electrification and Automation product lines. This position based in the main capital cities on the east coast reports to the Portfolio Consulting Manager and works closely with the regional sales teams in addition to channel partners across Australia and New Zealand proving expert-level consultative product and sales support on Siemens’ extended solution portfolios. This important role and function will support the Australian and New Zealand sales region to execute demand creation activities, nurture, and drive opportunities to closure, and grow the Electrification and Automation Products business segment, supporting all vertical industries and target markets with a strong focus on the development and support of the channel partners. The Sales Channel Specialist wins, maintains, and expands relationships with Siemens Electrification and Automation channel partners & customers and is responsible for achieving sales, profitability, and partner recruitment objectives. The Sales Channel Specialist represents the entire range of Siemens Electrification and Automation Products to channel partners & customers and reports to the Portfolio Consulting Manager for Australia & New Zealand. The successful candidate will be an outwardly focused, customer-oriented, and self-motivated sales specialist, who is driven to: • Focus on sales channel partners for products related opportunities in the Australian and New Zealand sales regions. • Develop and execute regional and channel partner marketing programs in association with product specialists. • Support and facilitate ("knowledge transfer") to channel partners. • Provide consultative support to sales teams, channel partners and customers ("technical advice and guidance”) relative to products. • Provides pre-sales and post-sales support for complex technical applications deploying Application Engineer as required. • Take ownership, drive and develop leads, maintain strong sales pipelines and close identified opportunities. • Conducts/organizes cross functional activities related to training, documentation, tools, sales, marketing, services. • Provide consultative sales support to external partners (Panel Builders, Distributors, System Integrators, Value Added Resellers and Solution Partners) relative to products and solutions. • Guides the development of business plans and product introduction plans on regional basis. • Provides input into the product development requirements for new products or enhancing existing products or product lines. • Provide feedback on customer requirements and issues as well as competitive intelligence. • Collaborate with product marketing managers to implement marketing strategies and programs in the region. In order to be successful you must have sales and technical experience, and basic knowledge of MV technologies such as switchboards, breakers and contactors, MV/HV secondary products such as digital protection relays, RTU/automation and power quality meters.
