Summary:
This section focuses on the main purpose of the job.
Responsible for the inventory management of 3rd party finished goods for a simple to moderate product line balancing sales, distribution, customer service and inventory requirements. Responsible for managing communications to/from Supply chain and commercial teams and managing supply risk situations at Country or Cluster level.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
primary responsibilities of this role that account for 5% or more of the work. The incumbent will perform other duties assigned.
1. Determine and maintain finished goods inventory levels based on inventory strategies and business rules to meet service and inventory targets.
2. Independently develop schedules for simple to moderately complex product lines using system tools and/or develop purchasing plans for outside finished good suppliers.
3. Manage Product lifecycle activities e.g. product launch, phase in/phase out.
4. Primary liaison and communication link between Cluster Commercial, Global Supply Chain, finance, business forecast, engineering, plants, customer service, BEC, etc.
6. Maintain product code data and statistics in various systems (master data ERP Rapid Response, JDE, OPPI).
7. Provide Analytics & Reporting to Cluster/Country management & commercial teams.
8. Monitor Delivery pipeline & collaborate with Network planners, local teams & stakeholders to manage supply risks & issues, e.g. constrained supply, low-cover and back orders.
9. Support country/cluster financial processes.
Qualifications:
1) Advanced Excel and systems knowledge required.
2) Ability to think systematically with proven problem solving.
3) Strong analytical skills
4) Strong interdepartmental communication, presentation, persuasion and negotiation skills.
Education and/or Experience:
1) BS in Operations/Logistics or similar degree
2) 2-5 years related experience.
3) APICS certification preferred.
