Job Description
Responsibilities include:
The Piping Material Engineer is responsible for the handling of the material acquisition cycle,
so that the quality, quantity and services meet the requirements of the project, also in regard to the project schedule.
Minimum Requirements:
The Piping Material Engineer is responsible for the handling of the material acquisition cycle,
so that the quality, quantity and services meet the requirements of the project, also in regard to the project schedule.
- Ensure all related MTO Dates are entered into MARIAN system, correctly and completely.
- Provide all needed Material Reports in accordance to the requirements (internal/external).
- Support the development of the project schedule and the execution of the project regarding material management matters.
- Continually monitor material requirements and deliveries to ensure availability of material for each stage of project execution.
- Provide (or supervise) consulting to internal and external customers.
- Participate in the quality program to identify and correct known engineering defects
Minimum Requirements:
- Several years of experience in project engineering and construction with a significant proportion in Materials Management.
- Familiar with piping specifications, valve specifications, etc.
- Ability to deal with Engineering Procurement and Construction disciplines.
- Sensible, logical approach to Materials Management needs and be able to keep Project objectives in sight.
- Experience with local design institute at piping material side is preferred.
