Summary
The Physical Security Manager is responsible for overseeing the physical security framework dedicated to Clent’s assets, goods and critical processes in the Country, including those related to plants and warehouses in Yanzhou and Jiaozuo as well as commercial office in Shanghai.
The individual will be stationed in plant located in Yanzhou province and will look after different physical security aspects, including Asset Protection, Perimeter Control, Logistical Security, Access Control, Physical and Logistical Incident Investigation Procedures, Guard Personnel Selection, Physical Security Training and Physical Security Threat and Risk Assessments – all as far as all of the abovementioned areas are concerned.
Qualifications:
All candidates identified for the position of Physical Security Manager for client must encompass the following requirements/qualifications:
Chinese nationality: while this is a mandatory requirement, specific preference will be given to candidates from Yanzhou or nearby cities. Nevertheless, skilled candidates not from the area will be considered too.- Military and/or Police background: It’s a “nice to have” requirement and CVs must be descriptive of roles, duties, and rank during the time served.
- Extensive Physical Security experience: preferably in the automotive field and with relevant production plant security expertise.
- English language: fluency level and it is mandatory since the candidate is required to keep enhanced and constant communication/interaction with non-Chinese natives.
- Team-leading / Management skills: well-developed People management expertise obtained through experiences in managing and leading operations relevant to physical security are required. This includes personnel management, conflict resolution, communication and decision making skills. Standard computer knowledge including Microsoft Office is required.
- Availability to relocate and travel: For business purposes the Security Manager is required to travel inside of China.
Attributions and responsibilities
- Enforce and continuously improve Physical Security Management System at a country level ensuring, through a risk mitigation and cost conscious approach, the effective protection of Assets, Personnel, as well as all the Strategic Processes inherent to the Operation in China.
- Effectively interface with the Central Security Department, the Local Management and interested Functions (cross function approach) to ensure that physical security issues are addressed in a timely manner.
- Establish and maintain excellent interface and communication channels with internal and external constituencies, including law enforcement and key national and international security organizations as applicable to local physical security necessities.
- Conduct Physical Security Threat and Risk Assessments, in line with standards and metrics, identifying the related level of exposure and potential implications for the company, its assets, and its manufacturing process. Generating detailed and objective periodical Physical Security Reports in order to assist in the definition and upgrade of physical security protocols.
- Maintain a transport/logistic risk program, including compliance aspects, in coordination with Security Head Quarter and the Supply Chain Department to ensure the protection of Raw Material and Finished Goods both in local distribution and export/import flows.
- Establish and maintain effective Access Control and Perimeter Protection measures, guaranteeing a controlled and structured flow of both people and goods entering and leaving Pirelli premises in China.
- Lead appropriate physical security initiatives to meet all compliance requirements imposed by the law as well as all provisions of the Company’s Ethical Code. Ensure the company compliance to all physical security related national and international regulatory requirements as well as internal normative and operational guidelines.
- Lead physical security incident investigation process. This includes plan, organize and conduct investigations of alleged thefts in premises, breaches within physical perimeters, bribery, embezzlement, and unauthorized disclosure and/or theft of company proprietary information related to manufacturing process.
- Select and coordinate physical security personnel, including guard personnel, ensuring their respect to physical security standards, and their appropriate training in line with new and existing physical security procedures and protocols.
- Manage, lead, or provide enhanced physical security awareness and training programs to employees, including plant and office personnel.
- Define and continuously improve physical security technologies, including access control technologies, CCTV technologies, and technologies related to logistic monitoring, ensuring their proper implementation as well as their compliance to all applicable laws, norms, and regulations.
