As a Pharma & Biological Technical Consultant, you will be responsible for serving as a biomedical expert in the ABB Healthcare Automation team to drive the growth of ABB healthcare automation applications. Cooperating with market developers to develop medical automation scenario application, for Robotics & Discrete Automation Business Area in Shanghai, China.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager I, you will communicate with Sales Engineer on medical application to clarify customer needs, working with proposal engineers to explore the feasibility of automation solutions in the medical field.

Your responsibilities

• Being responsible for sorting out the existing mainstream biotechnology industry technology, including but not limited to enzyme engineering, Biochip technology, Gene sequencing technology, Bioinformation Technology, etc.
• Being responsible for sorting out the existing mainstream biopharmaceuticals, including but not limited to cytokines, enzymes, antibodies, vaccines, blood products, hormones, etc.
• Being responsible for sorting out the existing biomedical engineering industry, including but not limited to biomedical materials products, (biological) artificial organs, medical imaging and diagnostic equipment, medical electronic instruments and monitoring devices, modern medical treatment equipment, etc.
• Conducting technical communication with customers and answer their technical questions
• Analyzing potential customer groups and digging out relevant customer information
• Assisting project engineer to make scientific research plan, promote and translate it into intention

Your background

• 7 years of working experience in industry
• Working experience in domestic and foreign large biotechnology industry, pharmaceutical companies, domestic biological research institute, etc.
• A master’s degree or above in molecular biology, biomedical engineering or related field, bachelor’s degree with overseas study or working experience or outstanding candidates are also considered
• Fluency in both oral & written English and Chinese / CET-4
• Proficient in English communication skills, regularly communicate with global team
• Good skill at MS Windows, office and etc.
• Must be customer oriented, teamwork in mind and strongly committed to achieve results
