Job Description
Established by the Hong Kong Government in 1989, OUHK today has developed into a young, dynamic, full-fledged university. We began offering full-time face-to-face programmes since 2001 and currently have about 10,000 full-time and 9,000 part-time students in the five Schools at the OUHK with about 220 programmes of studies. In addition, there are about 2,000 full-time/part-time students studying in LiPACE.

The School of Nursing and Health Studies offers a number of programmes in Nursing and Health Studies at Diploma, Higher Diploma, Bachelor and Master levels.

Background
The Research Project “Engaging Persons with Early Dementia and Their Family Caregivers in Advance Care Planning in the Community: A Pilot Randomized Controlled Trial” aims to test out the effectiveness of an advance care planning programme for persons with early dementia. An educational booklet will be developed. Suitable candidate have to attempt a trade test for shortlisting.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
The appointees shall mainly be responsible for the followings:
  • designing an educational booklet suitable for older adults;
  • drawing graphics for illustrations; and
  • designing clinical scenarios for illustration.
Requirements
Applicants are expected to possess the following qualifications, experience and attributes:
  • a Bachelor's degree preferably in nursing, healthcare discipline, or social science;
  • proficient in using MS Office software, Words and Chinese word processing;
  • proficient in using graphic design software; and
  • good drawing skills.
Compensation Package
Successful candidate will be appointed on a temporary part-time contract. He/She shall be required to work not more than 17 hours per week during the period of his/her appointment. Appointment will be made starting from September 2019 for 1 month. Benefits will be provided in accordance with the statutory provisions.
