Job Description
Established by the Hong Kong Government in 1989, OUHK today has developed into a young, dynamic, full-fledged university. We began offering full-time face-to-face programmes since 2001 and currently have about 10,000 full-time and 9,500 part-time students in the five Schools at the OUHK with about 220 programmes of studies. In addition, there are about 2,000 full-time/part-time students studying in LiPACE.

Part-time Research Support Assistant - (190014L)

School/Unit: School of Arts & Social Sciences

Major Duties and Requirements
The appointee shall mainly be responsible for the following:
  • compiling data and research findings;
  • providing assistance in areas related to research projects; and
  • performing any other duties as assigned to support the operation of the Public and Social Policy Research Centre.
Requirements
Applicants are expected to possess the following qualifications, experience and attributes:
  • Full-time undergraduates of the University, preferably in the social sciences discipline.
  • Research experience is preferable but not essential.
  • Very good interpersonal and communication skills in English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua.
  • Self-driven, positive attitude and with strong sense of responsibility.
Compensation Package
Successful candidate will be appointed on a temporary part-time contract at a rate of HK$65 per hour. He/She shall be required to work not more than 17 hours per week during the period of his/her appointment. The working days and hours shall be agreed between the appointee and the Director of the Public and Social Policy Research Centre or his delegate. Benefits will be provided in accordance with the statutory provisions.
