We are seeking a Part-time Proofreader to join our fast developing business in China. The position will be based in Shanghai, and report to department line manager, excellent performers will have the opportunity to become full-time staff.

Position: Part-time Proofreader - English native

Job Responsibility & Accountability:

• Review and edit a wide range of English-language materials for internal and external communication, including but not limited to:

• External documents: proposal, presentation, newsletter, report…

• Internal documents: announcement, letter…

• Ensure proper spelling, grammar, wording, style, tone, logic, consistency, structure and formatting of all edited documents

• Communicate with draft writers to clarify any unclear texts

• Work with all service lines and internal departments to proofread and edit materials when needed

Job Requirements

• Native English speaker

• University degree or equivalent with at least 2 years of writing-related work experience

• Strong writing and editing skills and previous proofreading experience is a must

• Background in copywriting/editing/journalism is a plus

• Basic Chinese language skills

• Detail-oriented, ability to handle pressures of fast-paced environment and client oriented culture
