Curriculum Development Institute
Salary : $187 per hour (Contract Period : 2 years) (Required to work 17 hours per week)
Duties : (a) To provide clerical and logistic support on the organisation of Technology Education or Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) related professional development programmes and activities for schools; (b) To provide clerical and logistic support for administration of surveys and school visits, and development of learning and teaching resources for schools; (c) To provide logistic support for communication with various stakeholders such as tertiary institutions, professional bodies, other government departments, Non-Governmental Organisations, etc. in promotion of STEM education in schools; (d) To provide general office support related to personnel, finance and accounts, statistical duties, information technology, and other clerical support; (e) To provide clerical and logistic support on coordination of work and arrangement of dissemination of good practices related to STEM education; (f) To provide logistic support for organising various types of STEM-related student learning activities / competitions / large-scale events to showcase students’ achievement; and (g) to undertake any other duties as assigned.
Entry Requirements : (a) A Hong Kong bachelor’s degree, or equivalent [See Remarks (i)]; (b) At least 2 years’ relevant post-degree working experience in project coordination, management or organising training programmes for school teachers [See Remarks (ii)]; (c) Familiar with Chinese input method, the use of database systems and office automation computer applications; and (d) Working experience related to education and schools preferred.
Remarks :
(i) Candidates should mark clearly on their application forms the major and minor subjects studied in their degree courses. Candidates possessing additional qualifications (e.g. a second/higher degree) should include details in their applications.
(ii)Candidates should state the nature and relevancy of the post-degree experience.
Note : For appointment purpose, ‘Grade E’ in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 is accepted administratively as comparable to ‘Level 2’ in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.
