Job Description
Established by the Hong Kong Government in 1989, OUHK today has developed into a young, dynamic, full-fledged university. We began offering full-time face-to-face programmes since 2001 and currently have about 10,000 full-time and 9,000 part-time students in the five Schools at the OUHK with about 220 programmes of studies. In addition, there are about 2,000 full-time/part-time students studying in LiPACE.

Major Duties and Responsibilities
The appointees will mainly be responsible for the planning, development and delivery of undergraduate/postgraduate programme(s). Duties include lecturing and tutoring, preparing lecture notes, grading of assignments and conducting other teaching activities for the course CHIN A206CF 實用生活粵語

Requirements
Applicants are expected to possess the following qualifications, experience and attributes:
  • A recognized higher degree in Chinese language, linguistics or a relevant discipline;
  • Relevant teaching/professional experience is required; preference will be given to those with teaching experience at tertiary level;
  • A good command of Cantonese and Putonghua is a must for the post.
The appointees will be required to work during daytime on campus for the period from Sep 2019 to Jan 2020 for a maximum of 6 hours per week for each course. For further details, please contact Dr. Benson Tong at 2768-5750.

Compensation Package
Successful candidate(s) will be appointed on a temporary part-time contract. Benefits will be provided in accordance with the statutory provisions.
