Job Description
Established by the Hong Kong Government in 1989, OUHK today has developed into a young, dynamic, full-fledged university. We began offering full-time face-to-face programmes since 2001 and currently have about 10,000 full-time and 9,500 part-time students in the five Schools at the OUHK with about 220 programmes of studies. In addition, there are about 2,000 full-time/part-time students studying in LiPACE.

The Department of Creative Arts at the School of Arts and Social Sciences is now inviting applications for the position of Part-time Lecturer(s). Applications from qualified scholars in all specialty areas of Creative Arts including creative writing, music technology, sound recording, audio and sound engineering, film, TV and video, animation, photography and digital art will be considered.

Major Duties and Requirements
The appointee shall mainly be responsible for the following:
  • responsible for the planning, development and delivery of the undergraduate programmes;
  • lecturing and tutoring, writing lecture notes, grading of assignments/examination scripts;
  • conducting other teaching activities for the following course(s); and
  • any other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Applicants are expected to possess the following qualifications, experience and attributes:
  • A recognized higher degree in a related discipline;
  • Relevant teaching/professional experience is required;preference will be given to those with teaching experience at tertiary level;
  • A good command of English and Chinese (preferably including Putonghua) is a must for the post.
The appointees will be required to work during daytime on campus for the period from Sep 2019 to June 2020 for a maximum of 8 hours per week for each course. For further details, please contact Ms. Joyce Wong at 3120-2500.
Compensation Package
Successful candidates will be appointed on a temporary part-time fixed term contract. Benefits will be provided in accordance with the statutory provisions, if applicable.
