Part-time Course Co-ordinator II (Travel, Tourism and Hospitality Management discipline) (carrying the job title of ‘New Curriculum Developer’)

The School of Continuing and Professional Studies (CUSCS), founded in 1965, is a self-financing extension unit of CUHK with its mission to provide quality lifelong education to the community of all ages. The School offers a wide variety of full-time and part-time post-secondary, professional and continuing education programmes and general courses in diversified disciplines. CUSCS now invites applications for a Part-time Course Co-ordinator II to support the production of Specification of Competency Standards (SCS) for the travel industry.
The appointee will provide support to the School in (a) developing Competency Specification documents; and (b) performing data analysis from survey and focus group findings.
Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree in Travel and Tourism, Hospitality Management or a relevant discipline; (ii) at least 2 years’ post-qualification relevant work experience in travel or tourism, preferably with experience in teaching or curriculum development; (iii) an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese; (iv) a sound knowledge of outcomes-based-approach in education; and (v) proficiency in MS Office applications and Chinese word-processing. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.
Appointment will be made on a contract basis for up to 1 year.
