Eaton Corporation Marina Power & Light in Williamsburg, VA has an opening for Production Wet & Powder Coat Painter. You will perform industrial painting and powder coat painting processes on production materials in accordance to specifications. You will prepare material for painting operations by mixing coatings in proper quantities and viscosities; unpackages, cleans, moves, and jigs product as necessary. You will apply specified coating to products. Utilizes print specification and appropriate measuring tools to perform work accurately and assure quality. You will thoroughly clean all painting equipment as required to maintain in proper working order. You will perform routine preventative maintenance when required to ensure peak performance of all manufacturing equipment. You will move material as needed to complete responsibilities using material handling carts. You will ensure quality criteria are met by review of documents, consciences assembly and proper employment of quality verification checklist. You will be expected to comply with all safety requirements, including proper use of personal protective equipment and operation of equipment in a safe and competent manner. You will keep assigned work-area clean, organized, and orderly per 5S standards. You will work from manufacturing information such as Kanban cards, MI’s, requisitions and oral or written instructions. You will be involved in performing Lean Initiatives. You will perform flexible assignments as required by the operation as volumes shift. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Must have a High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the facility will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Preferred Qualifications: Minimum 1-year experience in an industrial manufacturing environment using Industrial wet / powder paint system Previous working knowledge of industrial airless and/or air pressure painting Position Criteria: Ability to obtain and maintain medical clearance for respirator use required for the painting operation While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, squat, reach to or below shoulder level, lift, carry, push, pull, and use hands to handle and feel. The employee is frequently required to climb and reach above shoulder level. The employee is regularly required to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds.
