Job Description

Why should you apply? 

  • This is a new role created to develop to take the Club’s communications and public relations functions into the modern era 
  • You will have ownership of the PR and Communications function, reporting to the General Manager 
  • You will be front and centre in developing the Club’s new digital communications strategy to integrate with the daily lives of members 
  • The role provides exposure to not only external stakeholders in the media but in the community and government as well

 

Responsibilities 

  • Responsible for both internal and external communications duties 
  • Create, manage and analyse social media across multiple platforms 
  • Liaise with other departments in preparing and editing content for promotional materials of the Club, including newsletters, other e-communication collaterals and publications for the Club’s sports and social activities 
  • Proof-read communication materials to ensure the information is accurate and timely 
  • Optimise media and government exposure through preparation and distribution of press releases, handling enquiries from external parties and arrangement of meetings with external stakeholders as required 
  • Plan and execute PR and media relations strategy (and manage external PR agencies as required) by supporting all external communications and messaging development (prepare media pitches, press releases, media kits and handle media enquiries) 
  • Foster a close working relationship with external and internal parties 
  • Support any other ad-hoc projects as assigned 

 

Requirements 

  • Tertiary educated preferably in Communications / Translation or related discipline 
  • 2 years+ relevant working experience 
  • Excellent written and spoken Chinese and English 
  • Good time management and multi-tasking skills 
  • High attention to details, flexible and willing to learn 
  • Team player, friendly, outgoing, confident and able to work under pressure 
  • Interest or exposure in design and photography is a plus
