Job Description

Position: PMO & Trade Union Steering ( 6-month Contractor)


Division/Department: Corporate & JV Affairs /EVP Office


Location: Beijing


Main goals and objectives:


  • This position is an important function in VGC to ensure VW Group strategies, concepts and processes to be implemented in the Joint Ventures and among all business units at Volkswagen Group China.

  • This position supports Head of JV-Affairs to organize, prepare, and implement the Shareholder and BoD-meetings at the joint venture. In addition, current processes regarding the organization and preparation of those meetings will be optimized in order to achieve a smooth preparation, and run-down of those meetings.

  • This position also ensures the initiation, coordination, and implementation of successful negotiations with the Chinese shareholders.

  • This position assists the supervisor in managing trade union budget and plays an important role in coordinating and organizing trade union event.

Your Responsibilities:

Business meeting support

  • Support preparing and organizing shareholder meetings, board meetings as well as important business review meetings with JVs in order to ensure effective and reasonable arrangement of time

Business visits arrangements

  • Coordinates and operationally supports the JV related visits of VW AG BoD to China and JVs board to Germany

  • Coordinates and organizes the mutual visits of Betriebsrat VW AG to China and trade unions of VGC, JVs and upper-level to Germany

  • Coordination hospitality during the visits

Industry information collection, organization and analysis

  • Regularly gather all the Industry information about Chinese partner, JVs, competitors, macroeconomics and so on.

  • Analyze the collected information to show the key points to the department employees

Event arrangements

  • Play a supportive role in coordination and organization of VGC Trade Union events

Internal and External coordination/communication

  • Internally: follow-up and coordination the progress within the supervisor’s role and responsibilities

  • Externally: translation of business letters between the CEO of VWAG, VGC and the presidents of JVs

Admin

  • Effective administrative support

  • Organizing meeting with different participants

  • Handle travel arrangements, expense planning and reimbursement


Our Requirements:


Necessary education:


  • University graduates (Master degree preferred)


Professional requirement:


  • 1-3 years of working experience

  • International background is a plus

  • Strong intercultural communication skills

  • Proficient knowledge of MS Office

  • Planning and Organization Skills, Event management experience is a plus

  • Responsible Working Attitude

  • Strong command of English, German language is a plus
