Within Oracle Consulting, platform consultants are responsible for the design and implementation of public cloud based on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), including compute, network, storage, and Oracle Databases, as well as private cloud using Oracle engineered systems and Oracle technology products. Projects that our platform consultants work on include designing and setting up cloud networks, connections to on-premise Datacenters, migrating virtual machines and Databases, automation of deployments, as well as setting up monitoring of the IT landscape and Database tuning.

 

We are looking for infrastructure consultants who are eager to share their knowledge with customers, who are able to leverage the knowledge of all within Oracle to help customers be more successful with their investment in Oracle products.

Your Role

The Cloud Technology Team is responsible for designing, developing and supporting (Oracle) Cloud Technology Solutions leveraging the latest versions of Oracle IaaS and PaaS Services, and Oracle technology products. You will build the platforms that our customers’ mission critical applications run on.

In your role you as Platform consultant you will\:

·         Develop tools and methods to deliver consulting services better\: e.g. automation of work, templates, development of tools and standards

·         Work on client-billable assignments to design and implement Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and Oracle Database solutions. Typical activities include setting up scalable and high available cloud infrastructures, and migrating application landscaped towards the cloud.

 

Job requirements\:

·         Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology or similar field

·         Good consulting skills, with a well developed understanding on how IT product and service offerings can help customers to achieve their business goals

·         Good programming skills in Python and bash

·         Experienced in systems programming on OS level (Oracle Linux or RHEL), storage, and networking (IP, routing, load balancers, VPN)

·         Knowledge of cloud APIs, e.g. AWS’ API, Azure’s or OCI’s (preferred)

·         Eager to automate any kinds of repetitive operational infrastructure activities

·         Familiar with Ansible, and Terraform, or similar tools

·         An interest in\:

o   Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)

o   Oracle Engineered systems like Exadata, PCA, ZDLRA

o   Oracle tooling like Enterprise Manager, and Management Cloud

o   Database technologies

·         Three to five years work experience

·         Fluent in Dutch, and English

·         Willingness to travel, able to accept assignments abroad

Participates in business development activities. Develops and leads detailed solutions for moderately complex projects.

6-8 years of experience relevant to this position including 3-4 years consulting experience preferred. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience preferred. Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to build rapport with team members and clients. Ability to travel as needed.
