Responsibilities:

• The Apps Support Tech Lead Analyst is responsable to partner with multiple technology teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals; identify and define necessary system enhancements; analyze existing system logic, identify problems; and recommend and implements solutions.
• Provides expertise in area and an advanced level of understanding of the principles of apps support.
• Formulates and defines systems scope and objectives for complex, high impact application enhancements and problem resolution through in-depth analysis and evaluation of complex business processes, systems and industry standards; documents requirements.
• Partners with multiple technology areas and management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals.
• Works closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts and Systems Analysts to determine and document Systems impacts and support requirements
• Considers the implications of the application of technology to the current environment.
• Identifies risks, vulnerabilities and security issues; communicates impact; proposes risk mitigation options.
• Acts as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts; allocates work.
• Provides in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define problems and develop innovative solutions.
• Directly impacts the business by influencing strategic functional decisions through advice, counsel or provided services.

Job Description

• This candidate Application DBA will provide support for Oracle database and GoldenGate (OGG) replication in the US, Latin America, Europe and Asia supporting Compliance. Application DBA Services is accountable for reducing complexity and optimizing cost while improving stability, reliability, dependability and the accuracy of the GFTS data assets.
• The candidate will work closely with development and business leads/managers to ensure alignment of database solutions with business requirements. This position will require hands-on knowledge and/or expertise of Oracle databases.

Responsibilities

• Set up, administer, and upgrade multi-master bi-directional replication using GoldenGate version 11 and above.
• Extensive hands-on experience troubleshooting and fixing OGG issues.
• Automate OGG manual tasks, failover procedure, and health monitor.
• Troubleshoot complex database performance and SQL tuning issues.
• Review complex SQL statements with hundreds of lines and dozens of joins to identify problematic sections quickly. Make recommendations to improve the code.
• Proactively review database configuration and resource intensive SQLs. Recommend and implement best practices to optimize performance, such as partitioning, in-memory and advanced compression.
• Research and recommend Oracle RDBMS and GoldenGate new features to apply to the current environments.

  Qualifications:

  • 5+ Years hands-on experience in Oracle & Golden Gate and currently use versions 12.2+.
  • Must be a subject matter expert in either SQL performance tuning or Oracle GoldenGate .
  • Prefer to have hands-on experience with Oracle Veridata installation, configuration, and maintenance
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Self-starter, demonstrate ability to complete assigned tasks independently and effectively with minimum supervision.

• Experience working under pressure, meeting aggressive deadlines, and making effective decisions.

Education Level:

Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
