Responsibility

• Layout, design, and specification of optical components and systems;

• Analytical investigations, optimization, and tolerancing of optical systems;

• Interdiciplinary, project-oriented collaboration with internal and external teams;

• Customer support: understanding customer problems and developing solutions;

• Assessment of optical specifications regarding manufacturability and cost impact;

• Generating technical documentation;

• Technical support of operations;

• Developing software tools to improve efficiency and competence optical design process;

• Presenting results in English internally and externally for customers.

Requirement

• Degree in technical subject (mathematics, physics, engineering, ...);

• Experience in optical design and corresponding software tools (Zemax, CodeV, VirtualLab, ...) is preferable;

• Good IT-knowledge. Programming skills (VBA, C#, ...);

• Analytical approach,creative and innovative mindset;

• Autonomous work-style, hands-on approach;

• Customer-oriented mindset;

• Good communication skills;

• Fluent in spoken and written English;

• Willingness to work in international and intercultural teams;

• Eagerness to learn and improve.
