YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role, Operational Excellence Intern, are to: 

• Assist OE team members with the implementation of initiatives involved in improving the communication and decision-making management system, managing risks in production operations and improving safety on site;
• Daily tasks are dependent on project and may include participation in kaizen (continuous improvement) events, training, and event planning;
• Collaborate with the Project Management office to help define standards for project management, create training materials and deliver the training.

Required Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor degree program;
• Strong verbal and written communication skills;
• Consistently professional with internal customers of various organizational levels;
• Good organization, documentation, prioritization and scheduling; skills together with an overall desire to learn;
• Basic problem solving and project management abilities together with a professional image;
• Ability to work independently and multi-task;
• Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office with proficiency; using Word, Excel and PowerPoint, MS project, Data linking, Pivot Tables;
• Demonstrated potential for technical proficiency, scientific creativity, and collaboration with others and independent thought.
   

Preferred Qualifications:

• Undergraduate focus in a functional area i.e.-Biology, Bio Chemistry, Engineering, Business Management.
