JOB DESCRIPTION
An exciting opportunity for an Operations Engineer!
As an Engineer at Celanese, you will oversee the full lifecycle of Celanese’s ongoing field operations, from process design, capital project implementation, maintenance and reliability improvement through the final phase of production. Partnering with a team of engineers and leaders, you can expect an industry leading one-year rotation programme, offering challenges and continued professional development. You will also gain insights into some of Celanese’s most pioneering projects and operations. Upon successful completion, the program will prepare an individual for an engineer role in site operations and a future leader for the company.
Your main responsibilities during the rotation period:
- Promote safety and quality. Demonstrate support for the vision of excellence in EHS and quality by acting as role model in prioritizing safety and quality for yourself and others to ensure zero accidents and are in total compliance with all Celanese policies and procedures.
- Learn the Business. This position will rotate through different assignments in order to gain understanding of our Company, our operations and the day-to-day duties of many departments.
- Be engaged in project(s). Learn and assist in project management including but not limited to new/updated processes, capital investment and employee engagement events.
- Inspect equipment and structures. Assist in daily inspection and maintenance of machines and equipment to understand how to improve their reliability so as to maximize production and minimize interruptions.
- Monitor processes and materials. Assist analyzing production, EHS data, quality control, planning and inventory requirements, and operational reports to understand best practices in production, process maintenance.

- Bachelor or above's degree in Chemical/Plastics or Manufacturing/Industrial field is required
