Assistant Manager, Operation Retail Communications
Main Purpose and Job Scope
This job contributes to Starbucks success as part of the China operations services team by implementing operations communications on a day to day basis. The role is critical to drive two-way communications and ensure operations communication effectiveness and engagement through continuous optimization on APP. In addition, this role works closely in supporting to optimize issue reporting process and elevate ticket handling SLA, design and develop a partner-friendly ticketing system.
Key Accountabilities
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Lead and manage operations communication, work closely with operation partners, help to develop content and advice best approach (method/channel) to deliver fun, engaged and effective communications to partners.
- Plan and prioritize the work group needs, monitor, assesse and managing communication performance and balance communication volume vs. store information capacity.
- Educates and support team to effectively utilize diverse communications to drive their program objectives and coach team to follow the communication standards.
- Assess the initiatives’ complexity and advice proper communication method/channel (text, video, graphic, vlog, etc.) to ensure successful implementation and execution.
- Design and develop innovative tactics/programs to drive communication effectiveness and engagement with Gen-Z.
- Executes business process across multiple work streams and creates comprehensive plans to enable the tactics implementation, ensure message alignment and integration across the regions.
- Work closely with other function to collect, review, edit and publish information, establishes best practices and streamline processes in the development and maintenance of retail portal and partner app.
- Provides information and recommendation to key stakeholders of initiatives, deliver communication insight & incident report handling status report for execution improvement.
- Supporting PWI execution, deliver weekly update and addendum information to drive the planning awareness for partners.
- Support social impact program implementations with operation perspective
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, new media, or with related field
- Expert knowledge of current digital media production, and experience in create compelling content, conception, scripting, filming and able to spot stories and moments that audience would find interesting
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing in Mandarin and English
- Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and manage complex projects, evaluate using solid analytical to solve problems to meet deadlines
- Ability to working cross functionally to establish collaborative relationships and develop effective business solutions
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
- Basic skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Communication program development /retail operation experience is a plus (+2-year SM or above experience)
