Key Responsibilities

• Establish cellular models (regular monolayer, co-culture and 3D organoid culture) for gut disease target and tool evaluation
• Develop relative assays to evaluate compounds and any other potential hits
• Execute research plans, evaluate and conclude the data from the analysis, focus on drug discovery in various aspects of gut disease/health project.
• Design and lead experiments to move project

• Provide biology and technology expertise involving examining new techniques to improve existing analysis and provide additional capabilities. Contribute to individual project(s) as well as the overall program

• Present results in writing report and oral presentation
• Work cooperatively within organization and with external partners

Minimum Requirements

• Ph.D./Master’s degree in Immunology, Cell Biology, Microbiology, Biomedical Sciences or related field
• Research experience in gut health/disease required, such as environmental enteric dysfunction (EED) inflammatory bowel disease, celiac disease, irritable bowel syndrome; intestinal stem cell and health, gut barrier, inflammation; host defense, microbiology, gut microbiota/Microbiome
• Hands-on experience with molecular biology, biochemical and cell-based assays; experience in stem cell，organoid model and in drug discovery is a plus.
• Results-focused and creative bench scientist with strong problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to design experiments, make detailed observations, analyze data, interpret results and deliver timely results

• Oral and written skills in English is required.
• Scientific integrity is a must, candidate should be professional in maintaining lab notebooks and electronic files.
