Job Description

A consumer products group is looking for a high caliber to drive, launch and develop China Cross Border e-commerce business for selective brands in their Regional hub in Hong Kong.

Report to the regional brand leader, this role will be responsible for the following,

  • Partner closely with Regional and Global Brands and Online teams to identify opportunities and initiatives to grow the Online business
  • Manage Cross Border P&L, budget and positioning and build brands' awareness and reputation through various platforms in China accordingly
  • Set strategies and priorities and ensure robust execution for each brands
  • Lead and motivate the team to drive sales, profits, productivity and other metrics for the success of the Cross Border business
  • Influence the right parties and leverage resources available in order to achieve the business goals in a matrix environment
  • Partners with different Brands and key partners/portals (cross border platforms, TB, digital agencies, etc) develop seamless consumer experience through identifying new opportunities and developing detailed communication and implementation plans
  • Review project proposals to determine goals, time frame, and investment and resource requirements
  • Direct and coordinate activities of resources to identify and schedule individual project deliverables, milestones, and required tasks ensure progresses on schedule and within budget
  • Explore distribution opportunities, develop and implement creative business ideas that are within the Brand's philosophy and guidelines
  • Develop Cross Border brands' marketing calendar, media and communication plans for maximum effectiveness with Brand teams
  • Create product selection, reviews assortment offerings and recommends pricing plan as appropriate
  • Maintain a healthy saleable and promotional inventory level

Successful caliber shall possess,

  • Bachelor's degree in business or the equivalent or similar discipline
  • 10-15 years of eCommerce and online marketing experience within the consumers product and beauty industries, ideally with a mix of digital agency experience
  • At least 5 years of regional Asia Pacific experience within an international and matrix environment
  • Solid cross border experience and deep understanding in Chinese online platforms such as Tmall, Weibo, WeChat, little red book, etc.
  • Excellent interpersonal, influential and multi-stakeholders management skills with strong adaptability into a dynamic environment
  • Ability to perform under tight deadlines and resources
  • Fluency in English and Chinese is required
  • Frequent traveling, especially to China, will be expected
