The One Source Sales Engineer is a dynamic and motivated sales professional energized to secure business for the company’s OneSource® professional services. In this role, the successful candidate will represent the following OneSource offerings:
1.Asset Management Services and Analytics
2.Laboratory IT Services
3.Scientific Services
4.Compliance Services
5.Metrology Services
6.Lab Relocation Services
The successful candidate will consultatively sell services solutions for Laboratories across various industries at a broad cross-range of leadership levels. The right candidate will build a strong pipeline of expansion and new business while maintaining strong customer relationships to help ensure renewal of existing business.
This position is accountable for a territory orders target, and is measured on performance against plan. The Business Development Leader is expected to use sound judgment in the use of company resources and in the use of the Company’s funds. Success will be achieved by focusing on developing opportunities and winning business from all Market Segments, designated accounts, as well as following up on leads generated from marketing activities and other sales channels within the PerkinElmer organization.
The One Source Sales Engineer will be required to work in partnership with General Managers, Regional Service Managers, Field staff, OneSource Business Leaders, local technical resources, and global support functions to identify customer needs, while defining the strategy, tactics and proof Statements required to grow revenue.
The successful candidate must possess the following competencies:
1.Consultative selling skills
2.Solutions orientation as well as a solid understanding of how services are sold and procured
3.Demonstrate experience in effectively selling intangibles at an enterprise level.
4.Comfortable selling to wide variety of clients such as IT staff, Procurement, Laboratory Scientific Leadership and at the C-suite level.
5.Knowledge of various workflows within a laboratory
6.A working knowledge of regulatory compliance needs..
7.Strong leadership skills in mobilizing the wider organization is a critical success factor
8.Experience utilizing a Sales tools such as SFDC a definite asset
9.A Bachelor’s degree in a Scientific Field or equivalent experience
10.MBA or equivalent experience
11.Ability to travel as customer needs dictate.
