The HKUST Business School has been recognized as a premier education center for international business and management education. The HKUST MBA Programs Office is searching for a capable and self-motivated individual to fill the role of Officer. Reporting to the Assistant Director, the appointee will provide administrative and operational support to the MBA Program’s Career & Professional Development Team (CPD). Duties include but are not limited to the following key areas:
- Handle Students’ Enquiries: Serving as the first point of contact for the CPD office, providing timely support to MBA students who are mature students with years of work experience, through handling all kinds of enquiries professionally. Building rapports with students and enhancing overall students’ experience.
- Arrange Career Activities: Planning and supporting the logistics for key career events including annual Career Fair and regular career activities, such as recruitment events, on-campus job interviews, company visits and executive sharing sessions. Tasks including event scheduling, registration management, venue setup and on-site support, etc.
- Administrative and Ad-hoc Support: Handling daily administrative work related to maintenance of career resources, including bulk subscription plan for job search websites and online career training platforms; liaison with career coaches on coaching schedules; handle documentation work, and provide ad-hoc support as required.
- New Initiatives: Monitoring regular administrative and operational workflow and identifying issues. Demonstrating ownership to provide solutions to any issues, making proposal or suggesting new initiatives to streamline procedures for the CPD office.
Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of work experience. The ideal candidate should have a proactive work attitude and the capability in multi-tasking. He/She should be a good team player with strong interpersonal skills. Sense of urgency and the ability to work independently are essential. A good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, and proficiency in Microsoft Office application (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) are required. Working outside normal office hours and on occasional Saturdays will be expected. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
