The Center for Engineering Education Innovation (E2I) is a unit established within the School of Engineering to support student and faculty development. Duties and responsibilities of the Officer include:
- supervise and provide professional administrative advice to the entire team and over 100 students helpers in the Centre
- design and execute administration training programs for teaching staff and all student helpers in the Center
- manage the operation of the Center, including the undergraduate courses, academic advising programs and experiential learning
- initiate administration plan and contingency operation for programs and activities to enable students to explore different engineering disciplines
- serve as a contact point to connect faculty and administrative staff of all seven engineering departments
- design and prepare budget proposal and monitor the expenditure of the Center.
- handle event logistics, coordination of the team’s various initiatives, purchases and expenses requisition, liaison with external and internal units
- perform other tasks or duties as assigned.
Applicants should have a bachelor's degree with a minimum of three years of relevant work experience. A high proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese and computer skills especially in Microsoft Office applications will be required. The candidate should be a good team player and a systematic person with analytical skills; prior work experience in program administration and student activities at tertiary institutions or relevant commercial organizations would be preferred. Working outside normal office hours may be required. (Duration: 1 year, renewable)
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided.
