Key Responsibilities

• Assist in researching on new asset classes, evaluating proposals for new investment mandates, and performing quantitative and performance analysis
• Analyse and report on financial markets, performance, and developments of external investment managers and investment products
• Update and maintain portfolio databases
• Perform fund accounting and record keeping-related tasks independently
• Perform portfolio attribution analysis and conduct research on various thematic topics
• Support the HKMA’s digitalisation initiatives such as data management and data analytics
• Collaborate with internal departments and external parties including Government Auditor

Requirements

• University degree in accounting, finance, economics, business administration, or in quantitative fields such as mathematics & statistics, quantitative finance / risk management, computer / data science, and engineering, or related fields
• At least two years of relevant experience
• Good knowledge of financial markets
• Good attention to details with ability to multitask and prioritise diverse tasks; proactive and collaborative
• Good communication, presentation and writing skills
