Main Purpose and Job Scope
This job contributes to Starbucks success as part of the China operations services team by leading the planning, development and implementation of guidelines, standard, systems and programs to enable optimal store performance and deliver the highest quality experience to customers. This role partners closely work with cross functions and regional teams to lead initiatives encompassing communications, food operations, and small wares and develops sustainable processes and tools that support store partners in consistently delivering the Starbucks Experience for both customers and partners. The role requires a partner with proven data analysis and problem solving skills able to define solutions which align to operations strategic plan, models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.
Key Accountabilities
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Beverage Category Operations Support:
- Support and enable beverage innovations programs in China to create Barista centric experience. The scope includes but not limited to coffee programs, beverage innovations and small wares.
- Validate and assess the operational feasibility of new beverage innovations through lab simulations and study.
- Implement lean bar/CBS stations and beverage routines to ease complexity.
Inventory Ordering and Communication:
- Support the implementation process of SKU integration across multiple work streams and creates comprehensive plans to streamline all available SKUs in both East China and Rest of China market to meet the operational needs as a holistic company. Assesses and communicates region, market and store level impacts to address complexity and ensure successful implementation and execution. Supports execution and follows up.
- Validate and assess the specifications each SKU, elevating partner and customer experience as well as achieving cost saving in the process.
- Support Daily order retail portal incident reports, such as manage knowledge base, respond to partners’ feedback, build survey and manage inventory inquiries, etc.
- Support Weekly order retail communication, such as release weekly BNTK.
- Support Monthly order book updates for Starbucks Coffee China stores
Project Management – Resource Manual Update
- Manages and monitors project and schedules, update progress and costs to ensure that expected results are delivered on time and within budget.
Requirements
Summary of Experience
- Starbucks Operations Experience 3 years
- Involvement in project management of complex projects 1 years
- Working cross functionally or piers to develop effective business solutions 1 years
- 2+ year SM experience and proven background in strategic planning and goal setting 2 years
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong customer service.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong implementation and communications skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in Writing in Mandarin and English
- Planning and organizational project management skills
