The Computing Technology Lab focuses on advanced research topics in computing, memory/storage, and interconnect technologies that can revolutionize today's computing systems with holistic innovations ranging from system architectures to VLSI designs, to enable new computing capabilities for improving energy efficiency and performance across multiple application domains, including both high-performance and embedded computing.

Alibaba DAMO academy Computing Technology Lab (CTL) is seeking leading neuromorphic computing algorithm and application research scientists who can think out of box. The developed neuromorphic software-hardware products will be served for academic research and computing requirement from Alibaba corresponding business units in the long-run.

Our vision is to investigate novel neuromorphic algorithms/frameworks/methodologies for brain-inspired Spiking Neural Network (SNN) and transform them into particularly applications and products, which make strong real-world impacts and profits for Alibaba. As neuromorphic software research scientists in our lab, the key responsibilities will be as followed:

• You will be responsible for developing novel and efficient neuromorphic algorithms from the sketch to the application level, which has to be useful and used by Alibaba BUs.
• You will work closely with and give strong support to neuromorphic hardware researchers. You will give clear directions of the algorithm/software development roadmap and meet the requirements from Alibaba business units.
• You will publish on field leading journals and conferences as well as presentations.
• You will constantly generate and apply new patents for Alibaba neuromorphic computing products, and to build a technical barrier for Alibaba.

岗位要求:

• Ph.D. in Computational Neuroscience, Computer Science, Microelectronic/Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of computational neuroscience, cognitive computing, neuromorphic computing paradigms, e.g., SNN and modern machine learning.
• Strong programming and modelling capabilities (Python, C++, Matlab) of bio-plausible neural networks/models and industry/postdoc related research experiences.
• Field-leading publications to demonstrate the work abilities and research qualities.
• Working experience in neuromorphic software-hardware development is a big plus.
• Experiences on developing neuromorphic computing-based applications (e.g. neural modelling, image/video processing, neuroprosthesis) is strongly preferred.
• Strong self-motivations, team work spirits and communication skills, willing work hard and achieve something.
