We are currently looking for a Network Engineer to be responsible for deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of networking environments encompassing text, image, voice, and data communication for Shangri-La Headquarter and hotel properties.

As a Network Engineer, we rely on you to:

• Be responsible for executing appropriate procedures based on process and policy requirements
• Assist with conducting research on network products, services, protocols and standards to remain abreast of developments in computing & networking domains
• Configure and support network including documentation of network configurations, network mapping, processes, and service records
• Implement policies and procedures, including shaping policy when fully grown into the job
• Co-ordinate technical information gathering from internal/external customers during incident resolution
• Responsible for resolution of business-critical incidents by providing interim and sustainable permanent technical solutions
• Resolve and diagnoses incident trends and network capacity to enable the correct capacity planning and capabilities of existing infrastructure, to meet business demand
  

We are looking for someone who:

• Technically competent on areas in LANs, WANs and wireless networks, including servers, routers, hubs, switches, UPSs, and other computing communication infrastructure.
• Familiar with tier-1 & tier-2 network management software and tools to collect performance statistics including monitoring of network health

• Relevant formal training in Computer Science, IT Systems Engineering or equivalent technical studies.

• 3+ years field or technology experience in networking

• Excellent command of English (written and verbal)

• Work closely and communicate regularly with China-based colleagues. Knowledge of Chinese (spoken and written) will be required.

• Cisco CCNP qualified

• Wireless (WiFi) technologies implementation and management

• Understanding FW and NIPS principles

• Understanding of IP telephony technologies
