Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Work closely with editorial colleagues from the Vogue International team based in London, identifying interesting topics, planning editorial calendar and orchestrating collaboration between the teams
• Adapt, Optimize, proof read and publish content on Vogue China as well as respective social media platforms
• Liaise with the Planning Editor and team leads in the central team to act as point of contact for the local market team.
• Exchange and share best practices with the Vogue International and Vogue China team
• Introduce new initiatives, processes and training from the central team to the local market team
• Arrange any new software / systems roll out across the local team
• Monitor social media, news channels and CNI (Conde Nast International) communication channels for emerging news stories and overnight developments from other markets / the central team.
• Check analytics and key trends from sites and various platforms in preceding time zones for updates to feed into the local Vogue China team.
• Chair the local market morning meeting to drive efficient workflow and share key learnings / pitch stories from other markets relevant to the Vogue China audience.
• Support the central Planning Editor by providing translations and transcriptions or sourcing freelancers who can fulfil this.
• Drive the Vogue China Editorial team to focus on competitor analysis, brand positioning and tone of voice to leverage the publication.
• Upload content to the content management system and social channels as required to support the wider team and ensure smooth running of editorial workflow.
• Update any central planning documents and databases to facilitate information sharing

Qualifications, Technical Skills and Core Competencies

Essential Skills & Requirements:

• Demonstrable experience in a digital publishing or media environment at Editor level or equivalent.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and interpersonal and relationship management skills.
• Proficient writing, proof reading and editing ability.
• Strong organizational skills paired with the ability to introduce and evolve processes.
• Native speaker.
• Fluent in English ideally with the ability to translate content to an aspirational editorial standard.
• An in-depth understanding of fashion and celebrity relevant to the local market.
• Excellent project management skills, with experience of tracking deliverables, dates and monitoring deadlines.
• Confident in analyzing and responding to data analytic reports and audience growth initiatives.

Desirable skills:

• Social media experience with a good knowledge of SEO.
• Good knowledge of the fashion industry, designers and seasonal trends.
• Excellent copy editing and sub editing skills with the ability to become the guardian of the Vogue tone of voice for Vogue China.
• Multiple languages.
