Job Description
We are looking for an experienced middle school English teacher to join in our client school in Xihu District, Hangzhou.
Start time: Feb 2025 (after winter holiday)
Responsibilities:
Participate in the curriculum design of the English subject.
Plan, organize, and deliver instruction in English that aligns with school standards.
Ensure instruction is consistent and coordinated with the school’s instructional program to help students meet and exceed learning targets.
Develop and implement lesson plans using a variety of teaching techniques and strategies.
Address all aspects of communication to develop students’ reading, writing, speaking, and listening abilities.
Administer academic and language assessments to evaluate student progress in meeting learning targets and language acquisition.
Adapt curriculum to provide individual, small group, or remedial instruction to meet the needs of diverse students.
Utilize proven, research-based techniques for effective classroom management, lesson planning, and student engagement.
Foster a nurturing and supportive learning environment that encourages student responsibility and incorporates challenging instructional strategies.
Design and deliver English-related optional courses as required and supervise students in out-of-class activities during the assigned working day.
Requirements
Native English Speaker.
Minimum of 3+ years of experience teaching English as a second language, preferably in a K-12 setting.
Graduate degree or graduate certificate in ESL.
English Degree plus Teaching Degree/PGCE or recognized equivalent strongly preferred.
Teaching experience in China is advantageous.
Sensitivity to the development stages and well-being of English Language Learners (ELLs).
Ability to incorporate current technology into the classroom environment.
Adaptability to changing work priorities and maintenance of flexible working hours.
