Roles:
Plan, prepare, and deliver an academic humanity program that facilitates active learning for all students, aligning with the school's mission and objectives.
Assess, track, and evaluate progress levels, providing feedback to ensure each student has the opportunity to succeed.
Manage the classroom environment to support and encourage learning.
Set high expectations that motivate, challenge, and encourage students.
Identify and address students' varying needs.
Work towards developing the best combination of Chinese and international learning in a bilingual context.
Ensure outstanding pastoral care and adherence to all safeguarding policies.
Responsibilities:
Work cooperatively and supportively with all colleagues.
Develop supportive and productive relationships with parents.
Participate in departmental, school-based, and parental meetings.
Maintain and keep assessment data on students and report on their activity.
Participate in shared supervisory duties.
Engage in the co-curricular life of the school.
Support the school’s image and profile.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Quality degree from an established university.
PGCE/QTS or equivalent.
Knowledge and Experience:
2 or more years of full-time, school-based teaching experience.
Excellent working knowledge of a K-12 communicative humanities curriculum.
Strong design instincts and conceptual thinking skills.
Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
Experience working with children who have English as an additional language.
