Job Description

Requirements

Three roles in this position in summary:

1) A merchandizer, to implement and roll out the ASPA merchandzing strategy in China.

2) A planner, to lead the development of the long range, rolling forward yearly and seasonal China plans

3) A buyer, to fulfile the needs for direct owned and managed channels (China eCommerce & retail shops)

In your role of Merchandiser:

1. Implement and roll out China product strategies, together with stakeholders, on a seasonal basic that support the ASPA product vision while fulfil the needs of key markets

2. Build product briefing with the insights of China consumer, trends, channel with business data, and to translate to ASPA product teams

3. Develop product line assortment planning (tier/distribution), construct visual line plan, build the product calendar for seasonal story initiatives. Build seasonal style/SKU count to enhance merchandising efficiency

4. Closely work with the marketplace (distributors partners/stakeholders) to identify the product opportunities that drive sales growth

5. Ensure GTM (Go-To-Market) integration among sales & marketing team, as well as the marketplace, to align the seasonal initiatives

6. Represent China in product meeting, provide insights and feedbacks all product related issues

In your role of buyer and planner:

7. Develop according to company calendar, and in conjunction with sales, merchandising, retail and customer service team, lead and build up long range, yearly and seasonal China plans

8. Liase and define with finance and management team to manage the overall sales targets and KPIs (pairs, units, sell-in/sell through, pricing, gross margin, gross to net etc.).

9. Assist in the budget preparation, actual performance comparision, analysis and presentations.

10. Organize buy for direct operations (online, retail) with support and assistance from online, retail, merchandiser and different stakeholders.

11. Review and finalize Plan, partecipate to approval process and share final version to China team

12. Drive monthly review with senior management team while maintaing contacts with ASPA, and also key partners in China

13. Monitor sell thru and inventories in China and pro-actively suggest actions and steps to capture opportunities and take care of challenges in the market

14. Other tasks assigned by superiors


Qualifications:

  • Education:Bachelor Degree & above
  • Work experience: at least 5 year relevant experience (planner and buyer)
  • Functional know-how
  • Language Skills and related level): Language required: English
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft- especially PowerPoint and Excel

  • Able to work under pressure, be flexible, open minded and adapt changes
  • Detailed minded, organized and structure Willing to manage complexity of multiple countries and multiple business models.
  • Able to develop strong relationship with colleagues and customers as well as headquarter team
