Responsibilities:
1. Pre-order Activity:
Supplier sourcing, assessment, selection and onboarding.
Drive costing negotiation with suppliers.
Review and approval of all suppliers costing to head office.
Product development, sample and quality management.
Development of new product capabilities with suppliers as required by the business.
Manage order placement activities and buy trips.
Source new raw material as needed by business units.
Drive business development. Participate in new product and trend development activities.
2. Post-order Activity:
Purchase order management.
Production approvals.
Manage production critical paths, quality and on time delivery.
Support supplier capacity management project.
Manage claims and charge backs on behalf of business and negotiate with suppliers.
Manage business calendar with suppliers and head office sourcing team.
Manage production and quality issues, and drive resolution.
Monitor and document on-time performance against key milestones on calendar.
Provide continuous improvement suggestions and action plan on process and calendar.
3. Suppliers Management & Development:
Supplier relationship management with existing suppliers.
Suppliers development – factory audit, quality, delivery and business.
Review the capability of factories for each product. Keep track of vendors' performance.
Capacity planning for business units and factories.
Support social compliance in factory audits and follow up.
Ongoing sourcing for new factories, trims and raw materials.
4. People & Training:
Lead and develop team.
Build relationship with head office sourcing team.
Provide proper and thorough induction for new staff, particularly on internal merchandising process.
Supervise and delegate work to subordinates.
Work out solutions to problems with subordinates.
Assist in managing the team's operations.
Coach subordinates.
Build team spirit.
Requirements:
1. Education: University Graduate or above, major in garment/textile/English or International trade is preferable.
2. Experience: At least 12 years experience in relevant field,at least 5 years in managerial level.
3. Report to General Manager.
4. Strong costing, products, and production knowledge.
5. Travel is required.
