We are currently seeking a Medical Science Liaison in the general medicine therapeutic area. The main purpose of the job is to communicate accurate, clear, and valued information regarding our science and products to multiple levels within the medical community and to provide field observations to internal stakeholders.

We are looking for a profile that can successfully communicate complex cutting-edge scientific information and research concepts to healthcare decision makers. The role may also include clinical and pharmacoeconomic value discussions with payers and formulary decision makers. In addition, the MSL will provide feedback based on field interactions and scientific support consistent with Amgen’s corporate goals and objectives.

The position is field-based with touchdown facilities in our office in Hellerup. The Medical Science Liaison is member of the general medicine cross-functional team and reports to the Medical Director, Denmark & Norway.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Compliantly collaborate with cross-functional colleagues.
  • Engage with healthcare stakeholders to educate and communicate clinical and scientific data and value to advance the scientific platform as aligned with Amgen’s corporate goals and objectives
  • Educate and communicate clinical value, outcomes and pharmacoeconomic value to payers, providers, key stakeholders, advocacy, and access enablers
  • Evidence generation projects managing study proposals and study documentation
  • Collaborate with the internal Global Study Organization/ external CRA around Amgen study feasibilities, site evaluations and selections, site initiation and study execution
  • Respond to unsolicited inquiries consistent with the MSL compliance standards
  • Provide and/or present field observations and insights to internal stakeholders
  • Execute scientific engagement plan according to annual MSL goals and metrics
  • Develop and implement local OL plans in line with scientific engagement plan
  • Support speaker training as requested and ensure the speakers are updated on new data
  • Lead and/or participate on project teams that support MSL strategies and tactics as delegated by Medical Director
  • Advance MSL value proposition, identify gaps, achieve results, and set an example for others to follow by consistently demonstrating Amgen values and leadership attributes. Demonstrate tact and professionalism when communicating and interacting with others.
  • Lead and support congress activities as aligned with strategy

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Doctoral Degree or master’s degree in Sciences
  • Five years of industry experience in Scientific/Medical Affairs at a biotech or pharmaceutical company
  • At least three years in a medical science liaison role
  • Five or more years focused on clinical practice, clinical research, or medical research. Experience in a medically-related field can include post-doctoral training (i.e., residencies and/or fellowships)
  • Strong oral and written communications skills Danish and English
  • Experience from a similar role in the general medicine therapeutic area

  • Demonstrates strong project management and scientific affairs skills
