We are now searching for a Medical Evidence Manager with a flexible location in Oslo, Copenhagen or Stockholm, to join our Nordic Medical Evidence team of 12 persons.
The role
The Medical Evidence Manager is a senior role to lead the planning, project management and delivery of scientific studies in alignment with strategy, governance processes and standard operation procedures. The ability to actively take the lead, drive performance in a cross-functional environment, yet keeping the appropriate holistic view and attention to details, will be key success factors in this role.
As a Medical Evidence Manager, you will be expected to lead retrospective and prospective studies, through the respective governance processes. Therefore, it is important to have a strong background within project management in clinical development and/or medical affairs. Excellent communication skills, a positive solution focused attitude, and to utilize the expertise in a cross-functional context are crucial to succeed.
Accountabilities
- Project/study management, including budget and resource management
- Study team leadership and representation in cross-functional teams
- Development and coordination of strategic evidence generation plans
- Coordinate governance processes for internal AstraZeneca initiatives as well as externally sponsored research proposals
- Writing of relevant sections of study design concepts, study protocols, study reports and manuscripts for publications
- Ethical applications and interaction with authorities and registry holders
- Write and negotiate agreements with scientific consultants, investigators, service providers and others as applicable
- Initiate and follow-up collaboration with external investigators, clinicians, payers, consulting companies, external service providers and other organizations
- Interaction with health authorities and relevant scientific communities regarding data, relevant study methods and research methodology
- Assures tasks are of high quality and in accordance with written procedures and current legal requirements and internal standards
Essential requirements
- MD, PhD, or Masters Degree in natural science
- Proven leadership capability promoting motivation and empowerment of others in order to accomplish organizational objectives in a matrix environment
- Significant experience (> 3 years) from work in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in Clinical Development/Observational Studies/Project Management in Medical Affairs
- Strategic mindset with a broad business acumen
- Fluent in speaking and good writing skills in English and at least one Nordic language
- Proven ability to interact widely and effectively within the company across regions, functions and cultures
- Ability to set and manage priorities, resources, performance targets and project initiatives in a multinational matrix environment
- Integrity and high ethical standards
