As our pipeline is growing, we are searching for our new Nordic/Baltic Medical Affairs Manager within Medical Affairs, Oncology/Hematology with specific focus on Ovarian and Breast Cancer in our Women´s Cancer Team in addition to Gastrointestinal and Genitourinary Cancer in our Multiple Indication Team. In this unique role you will be responsible for medical writing and content of our reimbursement dossier and written value propositions in close collaboration with other team members engaged in these processes.

This position can be placed in any of our Nordic offices.

What you´ll do

In the role as Medical Affairs Manager, Women´s Cancer and our Multiple Indication, you become part of the respective Medical Therapeutic Area (TA) team. You will work across several indications, with guidance from the Therapeutic Area Lead or the Medical Affairs Director (MAD) within the relevant therapeutic area.

You will partner with a variety of key functional areas to create documents that effectively and clearly describe research results, and together with the cross-functional team link those results to health economic modelling in reimbursement dossier and written value propositions.

For that purpose, you will align with Disease Area Specialists (DAS) and Medical Advisors within the Medical Department, as well as Market Access and Marketing Teams such as Market Access Managers, Medical Advisors, Medical Evidence and Regulatory Affairs Managers to ensure delivery of the best possible quality of documents. Additionally, you are expected to apply your understanding of medical concepts and terminology, knowledge of relevant guidelines, statistics, the TA as well as overall brand/value strategy.

It is critical for success in this role that you have good writing skills, technical knowledge, comprehend scientific concepts, ability to interpret clinical and numerical data and preferably an understanding of health economics modelling.

Other essential tasks for the role

  • Accountable for Nordic and/or national reimbursement dossiers and other value-based propositions within given TA.
  • Attend internal meetings according to agenda eg Medical team meetings, Value team meetings, internal trainings, ad boards and trainings
  • Ad hoc participation in external meetings/congresses relevant for specific application processes
  • Understand the medical strategy within given TAs to ensure written documents are aligned with strategy
  • collaborate with TA Franchise and Market access on patient journey/ funnels required for Market Access
  • attend Advisory Boards f. ex. having responsibility for the minutes and capturing input in collaboration with the responsible Medical advisor
  • stay closely connected with Medical Affairs Managers in other TAs to make sure to align ways-of-working and to be back up for each other when needed
  • Desktop literature search and review to retrieve required information to written documents and/or requests from cross-functional colleagues working with value propositions

To succeed in this role, you have

  • Preferably MD or Master’s Degree in Life Science in a related discipline
  • Excellent knowledge of national market access rules and practices
  • Good knowledge of clinical practice within the respective therapeutic area of Ovarian and Breast Cancer, Gastrointestinal and Genitourinary Cancer
  • Excellent understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, health care systems and payer structures in the Nordic countries
  • Ability to travel

This role is all about communication and collaboration as well as planning and prioritization. We are therefore looking for person with a high sense of accountability and excellent project management skills. Excellent interpersonal as well as written scientific communication skills will be essential for success.

You must have high-level competence in the use of the English language, proficient in both written and spoken, and in at least one of the Nordic languages.

Desirable qualifications:

  • Advanced scientific degree in life sciences or a related discipline
  • Medical writer, clinical and/or clinical experience within relevant therapeutic area(s)
  • Several years of experience from medical affairs
  • Knowledge/capabilities regarding health economics modelling
