YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role, Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, are to: 

• Provide technical support by the development of detailed job plans for equipment repairs/PM's;
• Develop engineering work packages for critical maintenance jobs and improvement projects;
• Oversight of mechanical integrity program for the unit;
• Monitor/trend, identify and develop solutions to mechanical equipment issues (accuracy, high downtime, high maintenance cost &/or high quantity of repetitive failures);
• Generate management of changes documentation for solutions to mechanical equipment problems that deviate from original design;
• Maintain equipment specifications and area mechanical drawings;
• Perform failure analysis, investigations, and participate on area safety teams;
• Support unit turnarounds and startup activates.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 2 to 5 years of engineering experience in manufacturing, engineering or related field;
• Working knowledge of API, ASME, and NACE standards;
• Strong safety ethic;
• Ability to work as an individual contributor and as part of a diverse team composed of fellow engineers, operations personnel, maintenance personnel, and leadership;
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written;
• Must be able to perform work in a manufacturing environment, including ascending/descending stairs and ladders;
• Strong decision making and problem-solving skills;
• Computer proficiency in Windows based programs.
