Job Responsibilities:

? Develop high quality, cost leading, flexible mechanical structure model design with superior ride quality.

? Implement / define mechanical structure system arrangements and standard interfaces.

? Develop database of worldwide mechanical codes and ensure design compliance.

? Deliver engineering design (models, drawings, and other engineering data) in a flexible and reusable model product framework.

? Develop and improve design standard work with UTC competitive excellence (ACE) tools.

? Create engineering deliverables as defined in Otis Product Development Process (PDP).

? Work with integrated product development team to define mechanical structure system requirements.

? Conduct product benchmarking and Market Feedback Analysis.

? Conduct product design quality and development technical reviews.

? Support qualification tests.

? Track progress and resource utilization and maintain latest estimates for delivery.

? Provide engineering support to contract engineering for mechanical structure system design.

? Comply with UTC and company’s Ethics & Compliance Policies.

? Complete ACE Associate courses and get the license on time.

? Apply ACE Tools to daily work.

Basic Qualifications:

? 6 years mechanical design experience with 1 year of elevator product design experience.

? International work experience

? Strong analytical and problem solving skills are essential.

? Excellent ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with remote team members, including in American & European zones, is essential.

? Experience in design for cost, manufacturing (sheet metal) and installation is required.

? Experience with structural analysis and FEA is required.

? CAD skills, especially Creo, are required.

? Experience in leading product development, from concept to production, is valued.

? Experience in modal analysis, noise and vibration measurement is valued.

? Creative, open minded, critical thinker, hardworking and energetic with good teamwork ethic.
