As a leader in the aerospace industry, we are growing rapidly and have a number of exciting positions available right now, including a Supplier Source Engineer to support our growing supply chain organization in China.

JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Supplier Source Engineer will perform general tasks, troubleshoot and resolve issues under allocated work priorities and daily assignments. The Supplier Source Engineer will also lead and/or participates in supplier rate readiness reviews, supplier sourcing, quality/schedule issues within supply base, and supplier engineering liaison activities for procurement team.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

To work with the, US and UK based Supply Chain, resolving engineering issues where and when they exist.

Specifically Includes:

• Working closely within the tactical and strategic buyers to determine where areas of focus need to be.
• Working closely with the suppliers to review/solve engineering query /PDR/issues, and improve related communication between supplier and sites.
• Working with and advising the strategic team on supplier selection process.
• Working with engineering and the supplier to ensure all technical specifications are understood and adhered to
• Working closely with SQE team to improve supplier quality performance.
• Liaison engineer work supporting RFQ bidding process and FAI stage
• Cost Analysis and support price negotiation
• Support project VAVE and cost continuous improvement
• Complete qualifications of existing suppliers to support B/E sites production requirements.
• Any other reasonable duties as required.

Key Objectives:

• Drive/liaison engineer activities/issues in LCC sourcing
• Support on Identification of new LCC strategic suppliers
• Improve Engineering communication with supplier and sites
• Support SQE & SDE to improve supplier performance
• Cost analysis to support business strategy

REFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• CIPS Post Graduate Diploma (or Equivalent).
• Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience working in Aerospace would be beneficial.
• Second language advantageous.
• Enthusiasm and “will to win”.
• Flexible and willing to work as a team.
• Experience use of JD Edwards world or Enterprise one.
• Excellent internal and external communication and negotiation skills.

LOCAL INFORMATIION

• This role reports directly to the Supply Chain Manager, China.
• Travel requirement – Some domestic or international travel may be required.
