Job Description

Material Controller / Storekeeper (Qidong, China)

Responsibilities:

To report directly to Yard Manager in Qidong, China.
Responsible for the day to day operation of receiving, storing, issuing of materials / equipment / components and consumables etc for the yard
To receive all goods from suppliers and verify the receipts as compared with the Purchase Order.
To pre-inspect materials or packing condition prior to offloading at Company’s designated location. Thereafter, to witness the crates and box opening in the presence of vendors and / or client.
Traceability management and transfer of markings, where required.
To issue items as per approved requisitions and the Company’s procedures for all purposes.
To keep proper records of inventory at all times and notify the Yard Manager when stocks fall below specified limit.
To maintain proper records, storage and maintenance of surplus / off cut materials.
Maintenance of Material Status Report.
Preparation of documentations for any back charges to contractors or clients etc.
Carry out regular month end stock take exercise to ensure the accuracy, reliability and integrity of inventory record.
To maintain proper housekeeping and security of the Store, including all items kept by Store.
To perform any other duties as assigned by Yard Manager or COO from time to time.

Requirements:

Diploma or degree in Supply Chain, Business, Technical / Engineering, Construction Management or related field
Minimum five (5) years relevant experience without a degree
