Job Description

RESPONSIBILITES

 

Lead architect to work with two of the main EMEA customers\: Orange and Vodafone.

 

Interface to the  Group Strategy & Architecture teams to discuss the network evolution namely VoLTE and 5G CORE in order to influence and steer the technology strategy  and technical choices (Cloud Native vs NFV, …) of the two above mentioned customers.

 

Develop trustful and seamless relationship for the mid/long term business, and become the main the main Technology point of contact for Orange and Vodafone’s senior staff.

 

Provide the glue between the different projects being executed at the customer. Make sure both the local Sales Consultant and the affiliates are informed and aware of the progress made in other countries.

 

Lead the TRM/PRM meetings from the technology vision and evolution perspective.

 

Cross Pillar (Signaling, Policy, Session Delivery) thought leadership to align messages and directions.

 

Tight relation with internal Oracle CTO office and Product Line Manager.


EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
Expert level knowledge of Fixed and Mobile Voice/Data networking environments; specifically IMS/VOLTE/Roaming/Interconnect/RCS/STP/DRA/5G core centric applications.


Expert level knowledge in the design and deployment signaling protocols (SIP/DIAMETER/HTTP 2.0), architectures (3G/4G/5G core and IMS) and applications.


Expert level knowledge and understanding of relevant  IMS/EPC/PCC/LTE/5G core... 3GPP & GSMA standards requirements.

 

Expert level knowledge and understanding of Network Function Virtualization and CNCF Cloud Native architecture.

10 years experience in the telephony, IP, Signaling, VoIP and/or networking industries.

Prior experience in supporting sales team selling system level products and services to Telecommunications Service Providers requiring complex strategic, solution selling skills.

 

Fluent in English and French languages. Other European languages like German or Spanish are of value.

 

High level of enthusiasm and passion for market and business development. This role is a Technology evangelist and good Consulting skills are required.


Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant Technical field.

 

Travelling is expected, mainly in France, UK, Italy, Spain and Germany, given the distributed team’s locations for Orange and Vodafone.

!|!Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business. Facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sell.

As a Master Principal Sales Consultant you will be responsible as the expert for formulating and leading presales technical / functional support activity to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction. Acts as a technical resource and mentor for less experienced Sales Consultants. Focuses on large or complex sales opportunities that need creative and complex solutions. Develops productivity tools and training for other Sales Consultants. Develops and delivers outstanding Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Leads any and all aspects of the technical sales process. Advises internal and external clients on overall architect solutions.

Acknowledged authority within the Corporation.  Acts as a leader of large-scale company initiatives.  Viewed by peers as a leader and top contributor and by line management as a key business partner. 3 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 7 years business experience with relevant computer applications or database/tools. Ability to implement the most advanced product features. Thorough knowledge of system and application design. In depth knowledge of competitors. Demonstrated project management skills. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills\: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Ability to persuade others through presentations, demonstrations, and written communication. Ability to travel as needed. BA/BS degree or equivalent, advanced degree highly desirable.
