The Global Marketing Intelligence and Effectiveness (MIE) team is a part of Brand, marketing, insights and partnership (BMIP).
The overall focus of MIE is to support the marketing organization in driving more data-driven decision making. The aim is to create a culture of marketing effectiveness that builds capabilities, promotes ownership and accountability to optimize marketing spend and mix across all marketing disciplines. -strategically as well as in day-to-day operations.

Some of the key activities are:

  • Build, rollout and operate a new global marketing planning platform
  • Drive advanced analytics. Planning, communication and drive impact/action
  • Act as Center of Excellence for marketing performance
  • Secure one aligned and consistent marketing data platform across the organization

The MIE team is organized in three different streams:
  • Marketing tools and platforms
  • Marketing performance and advanced analytics
  • Front-end function (handling new requests as well as links to other strategic agendas)

This role will primarily work with within stream 1.
Data driven decision making is one of the key behaviors in the organization. Hence the department is highly involved in number of key strategic projects as well being consulted in many others. There is therefore a need for constantly being on top of the different activities and be the go-to expert when it comes to marketing performance. Strong data foundation, advanced tools and platforms are all key part for being able to support the organization on the above. If the platforms aren’t operational, used in the right way, or not up to date, the planning data and actuals aren’t available for securing fact base and insight driven decision making.

The main challenges:
  • The platforms are quite complex and with high level of system integration. Requires strong understanding of these in order to support and guide marketing organization
  • This position has to understand and navigate in the complex marketing organization cross Global/local marketing functions/agencies/ media partners and analytics teams
  • The system and ways of thinking are new to the marketing organization which requires some change management skills as well
  • In 2019, the MRME platform will be rolled out globally requiring support across all regions and time zones. As part of establishing a global support setup this position is intended to be based in Shanghai, while ½ the support team and IT/Finance is based in Billund.

Do you have what it takes?
  • Bachelor’s degree or above
  • 6+ years of marketing experience or similar experience in an analytical/financial function.
  • Proven track record in working with systems and/or tools
  • Proven track record in terms of strong communication skills and stakeholder management.
  • Experience with project management is beneficial.
  • Approx. 20 travel days to be part of 2019 rollout team
