Job Description

Job Summary and Mission

The role is expected to drive Starbucks brand awareness and elevate brand affinity/engagement in East China region via in-store, out of store and including digital social platforms. As a strategic pillar under marketing communication function, drive marketing initiatives to serve category and business needs, manage brand-own media development to organic fans growth and engagement, deliver related marketing initiatives led by marketing team, define social solutions with strategic media partners and new battlefields to both improve brand influence and serve category and business needs. Become a valuable source for digital social content provider for regional marketing adoption and adaption.


Summary of Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Lead, align and execute annual East China Marketing and Social Strategy from planning to execution, in compliant with brand communication goals and guidelines.
  • Develop /manage annual content calendar for In-store campaign and brand own media platform to dial up brand-level communication; support each campaign awareness and engagement with target segments.
  • Source, identify and build sustainable partnership with paid social platforms, KOL and brand advocates in a holistic social/retail marketing management.
  • Actively track, measure the business performance and the effectiveness of digital media efficiency, monitor investment ROI towards paid social clients, and take learning for future plan optimization
  • Regularly monitor social media trends, market insights, explore differentiated marketing campaign ideas and digital media platform and tools to continuous engage with loyal users and recruit new users.
  • Work cross internal stakeholders and external agencies to ensure content plan alignment, execution quality and on-time delivery.
  • Support category growth and business needs to ensure team success


Summary of Experience

  • 8-10 years Marketing experience including digital and social media marketing and planning experience.
  • Retail background is a credit


Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Bachelor degree or above
  • Strong business sense and marketing skills
  • Proficient, passionate to social media marketing, good knowledge in China social media tools and platforms, especially Post 90’s.
  • Strong project management and keen to execution details
  • Good social language /copywriting skill
  • Strong communication skills and vendor management
  • Adaptable to a fast-growing business environment and good team player.
  • Passion to Starbucks brand and coffee lover.
