Summary

The Marketing Manager designs, develops and implements marketing programs and/or pricing strategies to support the organization's products, services or market sector. This role uses specific marketing strategies and media (e.g., print, broadcast, digital) to launch and position products and services in a sector and identifies and implements marketing strategies and programs in collaboration with sales and technical teams.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Develop and implement a strategic marketing plans that optimize sales, market share and revenue growth for PIC’s offering in China

a. Utilize insights from market research, customer surveys, industry trends, and competitive intelligence to inform the strategic marketing plans

b. Develop plans that include product portfolio positioning, pricing, demand and supply forecasting

2. Work closely with the Technical teams and Sales teams to develop brand plans, tools, and marketing campaigns for products & services

a. Create key marketing messages that support the PIC value proposition

b. Develop marketing campaigns that uses media (owned, earned, paid, social) to communicate key messages and oversee the execution

c. Develop or coordinate the development of tools and sales literature that the account teams and distributors can use as part of the selling process

3. Train and enable the sales teams to communicate the value proposition effectively

a. Provide direction and guidance to others

b. Help translates PIC China’s strategic marketing goals into customer specific initiatives

c. Fosters awareness of market dynamics and customer needs among the PIC China team

4. Coordinate closely with the Sales team and Technical teams to develop the right positioning

a. Set up and lead regular Sales-Technical Services-Marketing meetings to align on marketing plans and assess progress

b. Liaise closely with the sales teams to gain insights from their customers to inform how to best meet customer's current and future needs.

c. Use external vendors as needed within the marketing budget

5. Participate in the PIC China leadership team and the PIC Global Marketing team

6. Over time this role has the opportunity to expand by building a fit-for-purpose marketing team in China and the broader Asia region

Requirements:

  • 10-15 years of experience in product marketing or technical marketing

  • Marketing background (bachelor’s degree; MBA preferred)

  • Experience in agriculture and affinity with livestock

  • Fluent in Chinese and conversational in English
