Overall purpose of role

The main purpose of this role is to support the delivery, implementation and monitoring of effective strategic and tactical marketing plans to engage with ICAEW students.

The role is varied and challenging, where you will provide administrative support on key projects to the Head of China in order for her to achieve the corporate goals and business strategy.

This role will give you the opportunity to: gain experience of working in a varied marketing role, which includes developing social media campaigns, managing new and existing online content, reviewing communication channels, generating success stories and implementing your ideas; ? undertake project work that relates to our strategy and team objectives; organise high profile events in Singapore; work collaborative with teams across different markets and the organisation in the UK; develop a knowledge of business, IT and internal systems.


Main responsibilities of role

  • Support the Head of Marketing to develop, deliver and monitor effective and creative marketing and communications plans for areas of responsibility.
  • Develop and deliver tactical plans, as specified by the HoM, to support the team’s marketing plan and strategy. Plans should use a variety of channels to promote resources, support and benefits to ICAEW students.
  • Manage the day-to-day running of our student social media channels including: developing a social media strategy, posting regular and relevant content, monitoring insights, increasing the level of engagement with students and being the main contact with the social media team.
  • Support on developing, delivering and suggesting relevant content for regular e-newsletters, quarterly magazine, webinars, website and creating new success stories for students and employers.
  • Input into and support the delivery of ad-hoc marketing projects and campaigns, assigned by the HoM.
  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and develop relationships with external stakeholders, suppliers and agencies.
  • Manage budget allocated and timescales set by the HoM for areas of responsibility.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of campaigns and make recommendations for activity to be ceased, adjusted, trialled. Monitor and review relevant competitor activity.
  • Act as a valued point of contact for advice and a go-to team member.
  • Specific duties will vary from time-to-time in line with the business organize.


Candidate profile

  • Extensive experience of business development ideally within a professional services/ financial services sector and/or experience in an educational environment
  • Resourceful and result driven
  • Excellent negotiation and project management skills
  • Good presentation and public speaking skills
  • Familiar with Chinese social media marketing
  • Ability to work independently
  • Fluent in Chinese and English
  • Frequent travel needed
