Marketing Coordinator for Asia

DBI Plastics is growing across the globe. We develop protective solutions for all major players in the highly complex and competitive automotive industry as well as for major global machine and engineering customers. DBI Plastics is an 80 years old family owned company with 220 employees placed in Europe, US and China. We are a solid AAA rated company with 8 years in Shanghai, growing by 40-60% every year: We are now strengthening our Shanghai team within marketing.

The position is based in our regional office in Shanghai, China, and you will be reporting to the Vice President of Marketing & Product Management, who is based in Denmark, and with a dotted line reporting to the VP of Asia.

The task

The Marketing Coordinator Asia will be a key role in driving our company’s marketing strategy in Asia and especially in China.

In this newly created position, we are looking for a skilled and commercially minded marketing coordinator to join us in developing and establishing a strong and solid marketing function in Shanghai in close collaboration with the VP of Marketing and Product Marketing. This role will also play an important part in supporting our other regions with marketing campaigns, etc.

You will be our marketing champion and will work diligently to make sure that the Asian marketing function establishes a strong and solid collaboration with sales.

Responsibilities

• Execute on operational marketing plan and activities
• Digital marketing – Baidu, WeChat, Linkedin
• Manage group website
• Develop Chinese version of DBI Website
• Website content management
• Market insights and market intelligence
• Analyse customer segments
• Understand the customer journey and key touch points
• Generate sales leads
• Develop sales tools & presentations
• Execute on sales and marketing campaigns
• Develop POS material
• Reporting and follow up on marketing activities and return on investments

Competencies

You have a commercial mindset combined with marketing and promotional skills which enable you to decode market and customer needs and offer the right solutions.

You enjoy working with data and data analyses in order to create overview and insights, on which decisions can be made.

You possess good communication skills, combined with excellent English language skills, allowing you to communicate clearly and precisely with our organizations in Europe, Asia and Americas.

We expect you to be a cross-functional team player with strong proactive drive and hands-on attitude. We are constantly working on doing things smarter and better together. Therefore, your curiosity, creativity and proactive thinking will be highly appreciated and encouraged.

Qualifications

• Bachelor level degree in business / Marketing
• Languages written and oral: English (fluent), Chinese (fluent)
• Minimum 3 years of marketing experience
• International experience
• Experience with market intelligence will be an advantage
• Experience with B2B and Automotive will be an advantage
• Good collaboration skills – working with stakeholders at all levels in the organization
• Analytical and structured approach
• Commercial and result driven mindset
• Independent and self-driven way of working

Location and Travel
Working from DBI Office Shanghai, RM1201, No.100,Qinzhou Rd.
Should be able to travel nationally and internationally when required.
Approx. 10 days of traveling per year.

Terms and Conditions: 6 months’ probation period
