With regard to these new products/markets or specific projects:
1. Lead the development of Guerbet based products which include Guerbet based products and its derivatives like surfactants, acids, esters, etc. in all markets in China to delivery earning targets as plan.
2. Identify new markets and new demand of Guerbet based products by contact with prospect accounts and manages the relationship to develop sales for those customers that are new to Sasol and/or do not fit into existing markets (Detergent, personal care, Textile & Leather, Paints, Coatings, Inks and Adhesives, Metal Working Lubricants, Oil &Gas, Agro, etc.).
3. Work together with sales managers and market developers to identify new demand in existing markets and commercialize the opportunities as much as we can.
4. Prioritize the R&D project or customer projects related to Guerbet based products in all markets Sasol is working on by closely with R&D, sales managers and market developers.
5. Give input about price of Guerbet based products to Regional Market Development Manager Asia to set up price strategy of Guerbet based products in China.
6. Identify the volume gap of Guerbet based products sales in each month and come up with solutions by comparing of sales forecast vs. actual sales
7. Work closely with P&O, Supply Chain, etc. to well organize the availability of Guerbet based products in China.
8. Give input to budget and 10 years plan of Guerbet based products.
9. Uncover and report on market trends that will be used to drive and prioritize development of Guerbet based products and processes to support growth
10. Uncover and report on market information that will be used to justify new Sasol assets, technologies, or capacities resulting related to Guerbet based products from execution of Differentiation Strategy.
11. Work with Global Manager MD Guerbet and Regional Manager MD Asia to negotiate/execute/manage contracts with Customers, Distributors, Agents, Consultants, and other Partners, as required by the Differentiation Strategy.
12. With functional reporting to Global Manager Guerbet Market Development, and be an integral member of the global Guerbet MD team to contribute to global strategy.
Qualification:
1. Sales experience; preferably selling chemicals to the MWL / Textile&Leather / Personal Care / Industry or similar technical market
2. Technical degree, e.g. Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, etc.
3. Commercial qualification (MBA/MBL) (wish)
4. At least 6 years of experience in the chemical industry
5. Broad leadership skills
6. Technical and commercial background
7. Specific knowledge about Guerbet based products or other alcohols etc. like applications, customers, competitors, etc.
8. Fluency in English
